This colourway is inspired by one of the film’s most quietly powerful moments: Marnie drifting across the marsh in her small boat as the sky softens into evening. The colourway blends pale pistachio greens, leaning gently toward pastel chartreuse, to echo Marnie’s light green wardrobe and the lush, wind-brushed grasses of the wetlands. Soft lavender purples wash through the yarn like the fading sunset, where day slips into memory. Fine speckles of deep navy and fresh pistachio punctuate the skein, reminiscent of rippling water, distant shadows, and the hush of twilight settling in.

Released in 2014, When Marnie Was There was directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi and is based on the novel by Joan G. Robinson. It stands apart in the Ghibli catalogue for its muted palette, emotional restraint, and themes of loneliness, memory, and self-discovery. Often described as one of Studio Ghibli’s most introspective films, its landscapes feel almost dreamlike, where greens dissolve into purples and reality gently blurs with the past.
This skein captures that in-between space: calm, wistful, and quietly luminous and serves as a transition colour for the next part of the calendar.

DELIVERY TIME:

This product is only available on pre-order. The listing will be live for less than a week (or until maximum capacity is reached, keep an eye on home page or social medias for updates), and I will then order the yarn from my supplier which takes 2 weeks to arrive. From there I do my best to dye, package and ship your order within a 4-6 weeks timeframe. This is my last shop update, and currently I estimate this would be delivered around mid March :)

SKEIN/CAKE:

By default my yarn is delivered as a 100gr skein, but if you do not have the winder to help you cake it, it can be quite laborious! Choose the cake option so I can do it for you and your yarn can arrive ready to cast-on!

DIFFERENT BASE, DIFFERENT RESULTS:

Each fibre blend is different and therefore takes the colour in a different way. SuperWash yarns (SW) will be more vibrant than Non-SuperWash (NSW). 
The difference are very subtle, mostly in vibrance of colours, but please take it into account before ordering! Each base is different, and each batch is, even with the perfect recipe :)

RETURNS:

If you are not happy with your product, please contact me to let me know. Depending on the issue, you may be able to be issued a full refund if you contact me under 2 weeks of receiving the items, and ship it back to me in it's original packaging, undamaged.

Please pay attention when ordering, no returns or refund will be available for an ordering mistake once the product has been shipped. Review your order and for any mistakes contact me to modify your order.
